Thanks to Preston and his team, our builder grade home looks a million times better than when we bought it! They painted our kitchen cabinets and perfected all of our baseboards after putting in new flooring after we closed. Preston was extremely communicative throughout the whole process and we would recommend him and his team to anyone!

Would not recommend them. We had them do work at our home and office. Preston didn’t follow through with what he said he would do. They used cheaper paint with minimal coats. We had to point it out to him that they didn’t paint the trim at all, which was in the bid. We were told they would leave us the extra paint, kept promising to bring it back, never did, and then stopped communicating with us…

Absolutely and totally impressed with Texas Color Painting! I recently hired TCP to paint the exterior of my home, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Preston (the owner) and his crew delivered exceptional service from start to finish.

From being on time at EVERY interaction (so hard to find in contractors these days!) to being friendly and always easy to talk to throughout the job, I was thoroughly impressed. The whole experience was pleasant and stress-free.

The crew was awesome. They were fun guys to be around - always answering our questions - and detailed from start to finish. They took the time to ensure that every aspect of the painting job was done to perfection.

Overall, Texas Color Painting surpassed my expectations with their professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor. HIGHLY recommend!!

We’re super disappointed in our experience with Preston and Texas Color. We’re remodeling our master bathroom in Plano and installed custom maple cabinets that needed stain/dye. Under the recommendation of our designer, we waited 4 weeks before Preston had availability. When it was time he showed up at our house with a piece of maple pre stained that matched exactly what he was sent. Perfect so far and worth the month long wait.

Although it matched the picture, it was a bit different in real life, so we requested a few more variations on the wood to be certain.

The next day we decided to run with the original stain we picked out, but before we could relay the decision, Preston sent a text saying he was quitting because he didn’t have confidence he could do a good enough job.

My designer tried multiple times to get an explanation because we were freaking out after waiting a month to get started.

And he has never sent another text or returned her call‍♂️.

Now we have to start the search all over which could cost us another month of living with a bathroom under construction.

I gave them two stars because it’s possible they could have done a fine job…but I guess we will never know.

At least speak to the designer or customer to explain and don’t break up over text and never reply back. It’s the decent thing to do.

I used Texas Color Painting to re-stain my fence following a hail storm. They were extremely thorough between the prep work (power washing wood, etc) prior to staining and through the staining process. It would have been easy to just blow through the job, spray the fence and leave, but special shoutout to Jason for making sure everything was done the right way including covering cameras and other areas of concern to protect from overspray, etc. I'll definitely be using them again for projects inside my home and would recommend them to anyone.
